HP: White Lord of Slytherin

Chapter 164 Infiltrating Reporter

Chapter 164 Infiltrating Reporter

Tok brought all the books Gloria needed that day, and from then on, whether she was eating or walking, as long as she had free time, she would hold the book and read it quickly.

Hermione was in almost the same situation. Apart from her own studies, she was helping Harry look up relevant information.

The draft in the corridor was very cold. They were preparing to go to the Transfiguration classroom. Draco was a little anxious recently because of the heavy homework and the fact that he had not found any information about the sound inside the golden egg.

Suddenly, the person holding her hand stopped. Gloria was still looking at the book, flipping through it quickly.

The little giants Crabbe and Goyle stopped the two little boys, who stopped timidly where they were.

Draco folded his arms and looked at them with contempt, "Gryffindor students, your house's 'inventor genius' has come up with something new, and I want to see its effects with my own eyes."

A few days ago, the Weasley twins gave Gloria a new product - Canary Cookies.

It is said that after eating it, one can turn into a canary and maintain this condition for about a minute. Draco did not take it seriously at the time, but he has not been able to find any relevant information recently. Today, he was in a bad mood and just stopped these two unlucky guys to test the effect of the biscuits.

There were two biscuits in the boy's palm. The two Gryffindor boys recognized them. The Weasley twins had sold a lot of them recently, so they bought some as well.

"Eat!" Crabbe's face was full of flesh and his tone was threatening.

Goyle clenched his fist so hard that his knuckles crackled.

The two boys were scared, but Slytherin students were not easy to deal with, so they had no choice but to pick up the cookies and eat them.

Soon, with a bang, the two boys' bodies swelled up and turned into human-shaped canaries with fluffy feathers all over their bodies.

Draco finally smiled with relief, "Lori, look--"

Gloria shifted her gaze from the page to the two boys, recognizing the effects of the Weasley Twins product, "Canary cookies?"

The boy smiled and nodded. She took Draco's arm and said, "Let's go. We'll be late if we're any later."

Crabbe and Goyle pushed aside the junior students who had not yet recovered, cleared the way for the two men, and then walked away with a swagger behind them.

By bullying the Gryffindor students, Draco's inner anxiety dissipated a little, "There is a Christmas ball this year. Are we the first to enter?"

"The professor said that the warriors need to lead the dance, and then the others will slowly join in." Gloria paused, "I don't know what your dress will look like yet."

Draco said, "I don't know the style of your dress either. I look forward to seeing it on the day of the ball."

As time entered December, Hogwarts was engulfed in strong winds and sleet in recent days, making every student shiver outside.

Durmstrang's large ship on the Black Lake was shaking violently with the wind, and people often wondered whether the ship would capsize.

Near Hagrid's hut, there was a strong smell of alcohol. The horses pulling Beauxbatons loved to drink single malt whiskey.

Today's Care of Magical Creatures class was held in the pumpkin patch behind Hagrid's hut, and the creature they were facing was the Blast-Ended Skrewt. This was the only creature they had been learning to care for for almost the entire semester.

Now there are only ten blast-tailed skrewts left, all lying in the pumpkin patch. As long as one of them explodes and spews fire, the others will explode in a chain reaction, and the frightened students, who are almost frozen, will quickly step back.

"I don't know if they hibernate. Today's lesson is to test this." Hagrid said, staring at the blasting-tailed skrewt.

Draco had already turned his face away. Looking at these things for any longer would be extremely harmful to his eyes.

The exploding, flame-breathing tail, spines and suction cups formed a disgusting appearance, and many students, like him, could not bear to look at it.

Hagrid came into the room and brought out boxes, each covered with pillows and blankets.

"I'm definitely not going." Draco whispered in Gloria's ear.

Gloria, who hadn't put down her book yet, glanced at the blasting-tailed skrewt, then silently put her eyes back on the book. "I understand. I guess they won't hibernate, so it might be a mess later."

Hagrid put a skrewt in the box and covered it with a blanket. It was obvious that it didn't like this. Its tail and suction cups flapped around, and it exploded and sprayed fire, causing the box to shatter and causing other skrewts to explode.

Gloria led Draco into Hagrid's hut and closed the door.

Draco looked out the window and saw that the pumpkin patch was littered with broken boxes and ten blasting-tailed skrewts were running around in the patch, causing the students to scream.

Gloria put her book down and looked outside, only to see that the Slytherin students had already hidden away, watching some of the more active Gryffindor students helping Hagrid.

Someone had already been burned, so she pulled out her wand and thought about subduing those things.

Draco pressed down her wand. "No - keep them busy so they don't have time to do the disgusting things again."

In order to consume the energy of the Exploding-Tailed Snail, I took it for a walk in almost every class before this.

"Okay." She put away her wand, patted the boy beside her and pointed to the fence of the vegetable garden, "The reporter is here."

Draco frowned, "Father said she was just a reporter who wanted to become famous quickly."

Rita watched the farce in the pumpkin patch quietly. They had already subdued nine blast-tailed skrewts and tied them up tightly with ropes.

When taming the last blast-tailed skrewt, Hagrid found Rita and said, "Dumbledore said you are not allowed to enter the school again."

Rita smiled what she thought was a brilliant smile, and did not answer Hagrid's question. She pointed at the blasting-tailed skrewt and asked what it was.

"The headmaster didn't allow her to come in, so why is she here?" Gloria said in a low voice. Logically speaking, the other people in the castle would not disobey Dumbledore's words, which only meant that Rita sneaked in.

"Who knows, maybe it pleases Filch."

Rita was saying some leading words again, such as tentatively asking where the blast-tailed skrewts came from.

Gloria put the book aside and the expression on her face gradually turned cold.

She remembered writing a letter asking him not to report anything about Harry anymore, as the woman was going to meet with Harry.

"What's wrong?" Draco noticed the change in her expression.

"This woman should know that I am a major shareholder of the Daily Prophet, but she still ignored what I said." Her authority was ignored.

The boy's expression changed immediately.

Gloria pushed the door open and went out. Rita saw her eyes evade for a moment, and the smile on her face was no longer bright, but a little embarrassed.

Rita listened to the editor-in-chief's words and knew the identity of this Slytherin in the Daily Prophet, but she did not think that the letter was written to speak up for Harry Potter. Perhaps it was just a mention because they knew each other, so she sneaked into Hogwarts and tried to dig out more information about the celebrity Potter.

"Ms. Skeeter, you haven't answered Hagrid's question yet. How did you end up here when Headmaster Dumbledore doesn't allow you to come in again?"

Everyone was staring at Rita, so she couldn't bring up anything else to evade the question.

"Just... a little trick."

Gloria glanced at her and walked slowly to her. "Remember the letter I wrote to the newspaper. If you do this again, the Daily Prophet will no longer employ you. No well-known newspaper in Europe will hire you, including major publishing houses."

Rita's face was completely frozen. She nodded very awkwardly and then left quickly, fearing that Gloria would change her mind and fire her with a letter.

Draco saw Harry grinning happily and rolled his eyes silently.
