Chapter 139 End and Start of School
Chapter 139 End and Start of School
When we returned to the camp, many tents were burned and the fire was still not out.
Fortunately, Gloria's tent was fine, and Harry and the others came back, all of them looking frightened.
A group of Ministry of Magic officials surrounded Arthur, and Sirius led the children into the tent first.
Draco held Gloria's hand from the time they returned from the journey until they sat down.
"What the hell is that thing? It doesn't do any harm, but everyone is scared." Ron remembered the screams that came from the forest after the skeleton appeared.
"Dark Mark." Draco said in a muffled voice.
"what?"
"The Dark Mark!" Hermione read aloud. "I read about it in The Rise and Fall of the Dark Arts. It's the symbol of You-Know-Who."
Since people from wizarding families didn't want to hear the name Voldemort, she just said the You-Know-Who.
Gloria looked at them and asked, "Do you know who put it there?"
Sirius shook his head, "There was one person in the Death Eater camp who was particularly different. The others seemed to follow him as their leader. That person used the Cruciatus Curse on the Muggles. The Ministry officials surrounded him first, but he ran away. We all chased him in the forest."
Ron said, "We heard running, and then there was... the Dark Mark."
"Not far away," said Hermione. "Those Ministry officials nearly attacked us."
Bill and Charlie came in, both injured, and Percy came in last, still with a bloody nose.
"What's that one behind it?" Harry was impressed by the mark that appeared later. "The one that destroyed the Dark Mark."
"That was sent by me." Gloria said calmly.
"what?"
A unified tone of surprise.
"I hate everything about Voldemort." Voldemort said this, and everyone on the field shuddered, "So I destroyed the mark."
After a long while, Fred said, "Great!"
George continued, "Absolutely—"
Bill pushed his two younger brothers with his uninjured hand. Is this the time to show off?
"Is Lori really going to be okay?" Draco was still worried that the officials would come looking for her.
Sirius patted his shoulder and said, "Of course it's okay. I'll take you there when your parents come back."
After a while, another official from the Ministry of Magic came. Sirius did not let Gloria go out and left the tent by himself.
"Take my niece to question?" Sirius tried his best to suppress his voice, but they still heard some of it. "She just hates the mark. What's wrong with destroying it?"
"Sirius, we know we want to know something." Fudge's voice could be vaguely heard.
"What's there to know? She told me everything she knows. Just ask me directly." Sirius' voice faded away, probably leading the officials to somewhere else.
Arthur was a little worried, but Sirius was in a bad mood, so he stood up and said, "I'll go out and take a look. You guys hurry up and get some rest. Bill, take your two brothers to treat their wounds. There's a doctor nearby."
Once the adults had left, the Weasley twins immediately moved closer to Harry.
Fred asked curiously, "What happened? There were too many people and I accidentally got separated from you."
George said: "When the Dark Mark appeared, the people around us were so scared that they almost pushed us down."
Fortunately, the twins were tall and strong, and they protected their sister Ginny steadily and squeezed out of the crowd.
"We don't really know." Hermione frowned and said, "The mark appeared very suddenly."
The noise outside the tent was getting closer, and a group of people were confused. Then Narcissa pulled aside the curtain and came in quickly. She looked panicked and only calmed down a little when she saw Draco and Gloria.
Draco, who had been silent for a long time, went over immediately, "Mother!"
Narcissa looked at his face carefully, then looked at Gloria who was also approaching, to make sure that neither of them was injured, "I'm glad you're okay."
The noise outside got louder. The Weasley twins wanted to go outside to take a look, but Narcissa said, "Don't go out. There are reporters surrounding Minister Fudge outside, asking questions about what happened today."
The twins stopped immediately, but they had always been at odds with the Malfoy family. Not only Ron and Draco, but Arthur and Lucius had been at odds with each other in the Ministry of Magic for a long time.
At this time, the atmosphere in the space was a bit awkward.
Fortunately, the farce outside did not last long. The door curtain was lifted, and Lucius with long golden hair pulled Sirius, who looked angry, in, followed closely by Arthur.
"The kids are here, calm down," Arthur said softly.
Sirius saw Gloria's eyes moving back and forth between his face and the door curtain, and said nothing.

Arthur took the children back to the tent and prepared to go back early the next morning. Lucius and Narcissa took Draco away, and Sirius sent Gloria back to Slytherin Manor overnight.
Everything that happened at the Quidditch World Cup was widely reported, and the Dark Mark that night was photographed before it was destroyed. In addition to being afraid of the mark, wizards were also curious about what would destroy the Dark Mark later.
The Ministry of Magic kept what Gloria did a secret; she had not broken any laws and was still a student.
Sirius is not an official of the Ministry of Magic, but he has been running back and forth these days. In addition to the people sent by Fudge, he is also tracking down the whereabouts of Barty Jr.
Even so, on the first day of school, the busy Sirius still dutifully took his niece to the station... on his motorcycle.
It was raining heavily outside on the first day of school. Gloria sat sideways in the back seat and had to use magic to block the wind and rain the whole time. The motorcycle was speeding in the sky, and Sirius would make vertical landings from time to time to scare her, which made Gloria so angry that she hit him on the back with her elbow.
Finally arriving at the station, Sirius was even more excited than Gloria. He pushed the cart directly onto the platform.
After two months, I saw this familiar platform again and the train whistled.
"Leah, I've taken you here. Remember to write to me when you are at school." Sirius was still wearing Muggle clothes today, and the witches around him blushed when they saw him.
"I remember." Gloria said, "Still no idea about the World Cup?"
Sirius stroked her hair, "Not yet, it's confirmed that it was little Barty...Okay, get in the car, you're only a fourth grader."
Gloria pursed her lips and said, "The school is holding such an important competition this year, you should come."
At the end of July, she received a list of must-have items from school and a dress was added. Draco told her that this year Hogwarts would hold the Triwizard Tournament, which had not been held for many years, but the matter needed to be kept secret.
"Almost." Sirius said with envy, "It's a pity that I didn't have it when I was in school. No matter what, remember to study hard."
After the uncle and niece parted ways, Gloria boarded the train, thinking about which carriage she would sit in that day.
"This cat is crazy!" Ron muttered in complaint.
"Your piglet isn't any better, it's been screaming like crazy!" Hermione retorted unconvinced.
In addition to the bickering between the two of them, there were also extremely noisy noises. Gloria turned around and saw a group of disheveled people, their hair wet and stuck to their heads. In the birdcage that Ron was holding, there was a very small owl that opened its mouth and screamed, and kept hitting the cage.
Crookshanks lay listlessly in Hermione's arms, cleaning his fur; Harry wiped the rain off his face, Hedwig was very quiet in the cage; the Weasley twins' suitcases exploded with a bang when they put something in them.
It looks terrible for both people and pets.
"Are you coming to school after fleeing?" Gloria asked sincerely.
