Chapter 519: Punishment
Chapter 519: Punishment
The thing suppressing her tongue made Ye Ruoruo feel nauseous, and her eyes rolled back. Her eyes were filled with resentment, as if she wanted to skin Lin Rusi alive right now.
But Li Jingyang easily noticed her appearance and grabbed her by the backhand, slamming her against the wall.
No one expected this. They stared blankly at each other, then realized that Ye Ruoruo had done something impolite, and immediately knelt down.
The next instant, the gag was removed.
"I'm giving you one chance to say the rest of your words. You won't get another chance like this."
"No chance? That's impossible. I'm the one who's lived the longest. Even you can't do it."
Li Jingyang had never known anyone could have such confidence, and his face darkened once again.
It wasn't because of what she said, but because she believed that this person might use what they knew to change Lin Rusi's future.
The pressure on her neck increased, causing Ye Ruoruo more and more pain. She struggled to hold onto that hand with both of her own.
"If you strangle me like this, everything will end."
"I don't think so, after all, you won't die."
These words made Ye Ruoruo happy, and she wanted to say something else, but then she felt a sharp pain on her cheek, followed by various objects hitting her.
She was taken aback and propped herself up with her arms, clearly wanting to say something more, but that hand grabbed hers again.
Never expecting it to be like this, and the fact that this person was so unfamiliar, made Ye Ruoruo extremely angry, and she lost all reason.
“If you leave me here for just one more day, I will kill Lin Rusi.”
"And it wasn't that easy to kill them, but rather they were tortured little by little, their bones broken, until finally they were killed by that vulture... ugh!"
Before he could finish speaking, Li Jingyang slammed his chin shut with force.
Next, Lin Rusi stood at the door and knocked.
"Why did you get down so suddenly? Is the blanket cold?"
"It's a bit cold."
Confirming that he hadn't guessed wrong, a smile curved his lips, and he immediately pulled the person into his arms.
But this action provoked Ye Ruoruo again. Her eyes turned bloodshot as she glared at the two of them, turned her head to wipe away the spilled blood, and looked at Lin Rusi even more fiercely.
"Every word I said was true. I'll even make sure she dies with her eyes wide open, staring at her beloved..."
Before he could finish speaking, the guard grabbed his chin, preventing him from saying the rest of his words.
Li Jingyang let out another cold laugh and pointed directly at the direction where the raised hand was pointing at the person's tongue.
Immediately understanding what this meant, the guard took out a dagger from his waist, forcibly pried open the other person's mouth, and slashed down with the peculiarly shaped blade.
"Well!!"
It screamed sharply, but could barely make a sound, its body trembling with pain.
But no one moved during this scene. Li Jingyang held his wife tightly, his eyes fixed on her, and covered his clear eyes with his hand.
"Don't look at her, look at me, okay?"
"Of course I'm looking at you, but I can't see this movement."
As Lin Rusi's voice fell, he immediately turned her around and hugged her tightly.
But the next moment, the person in his arms tightly gripped his clothes, tears falling rapidly and soaking his clothes.
He never expected Lin Rusi to be so upset. He gently held her in his arms and comforted his fragile wife again and again.
Perhaps it was this reassurance that caused her to burst into tears, which she cried incessantly.
When her eyes were bloodshot and painful to the touch, she slowly stopped, and soon fell asleep in Li Jingyang's arms.
"You really hurt her. My wife treated you like a sister, but you treated her like an enemy."
Looking at Lin Rusi's even redder eyes, Li Jingyang felt so heartbroken that he almost snapped her neck.
But when he thought about the things Ye Ruoruo had said that could hurt his wife, his already gloomy eyes became even angrier.
He strode forward, intending to say something else, but the strong smell of blood made him frown again.
"It's too simplistic to just face her like this. It seems we need to do something else, to let people know the difference between them."
"Yes, I understand what to do. Now let everyone know that the difference between you and Madam is like heaven and earth."
Clouds and mud?
Ye Ruoruo's eyes were filled with resentment. She wanted to say something more, but then she felt blood gushing out of her mouth, choking and causing her to tremble uncontrollably.
However, the venomous look in his eyes before he lowered his head was noticed, and the guard's face darkened. He lifted the man's head up and was about to bring down the knife.
But just as his eyelids were touched, Li Jingyang spoke again.
"Don't offend my eyes."
"Your subordinate understands. Everything will be done after Master leaves, and he will not die. He will be sent to the darkest dungeon."
Having received a satisfactory answer, Li Jingyang kissed Lin Rusi's forehead again.
But as he leaned closer, he noticed her reddened eyes, and her once gentle gaze furrowed again.
This time, however, he didn't look inside. Instead, he ran upstairs as fast as he could and gently applied a cold compress to the person with the cool towel.
Changing the clothes again and again didn't drive away the blush; instead, it woke people up once more.
"It's so cold."
"I'm sorry, I still don't want to see your red eyes."
As if reminded of what had just happened, Lin Rusi once again rested her head in the other person's arms.
"Do you think I was wrong? If I hadn't called people over, this inexplicable thing wouldn't have happened."
"You just wanted to help me; it was that woman who had ulterior motives."
He even said that if Lin Rusi wasn't his wife, then whose was she?
The thought of this made Li Jingyang's face grow even uglier. He held the person tightly in his arms, as if afraid that someone would take away the person he cherished most.
Lin Rusi was almost strangled to death. She patted him hard twice and felt relaxed.
He exhaled a breath of stale air, then raised his head and looked at the person again.
"It's good that you weren't misled by that person's words."
"No matter what they say, I only believe you."
Lin Rusi chuckled softly, then snuggled closer to the person, only to feel a pair of large hands grasping her feet.
The slight movement of her calloused hands on the soft soles of her feet immediately elicited a soft chuckle.
"Don't tease me like that, it's dirty and itchy."
“I cleaned you up, you’re not dirty. Are you uncomfortable? I heard from them that you’ve been gone for a long time.”
We have indeed traveled a long way, but not today.
Lin Ru thought of pushing it away, but then felt her fingers touch it again, and couldn't help but chuckle again.
Her eyes, though red-rimmed, chuckled softly from the tickling sensation, her eyes crinkling with laughter that made one want to kiss her again, making one laugh even more happily.
