Chapter 247 Twin Sisters Take Revenge on the Tan Family
Chapter 247 Twin Sisters Take Revenge on the Tan Family
The third brother walked over at this moment, holding a mobile phone in his hand, his expression solemn. "Zhengchu, that woman's information has been sent to your phone. Take a look."
Tan Zhengchu nodded, took out his phone, and opened the email. A photo of a woman appeared on the screen, whose features bore a resemblance to his mother.
His brow furrowed slightly, a hint of doubt creeping into his mind. "Could it be that Mother secretly took the children away?"
The third brother, standing to the side, couldn't help but ask, "Zhengchu, could it be that Madam... took the young masters away?"
Tan Zhengchu was silent for a few seconds, then shook his head. "No. Although her relationship with my father is strained, she has reconciled with the Tan family. She wouldn't take the children away in this way, and besides, she doesn't need to be so mysterious."
The third brother nodded, also finding the guess unreasonable. "Then who exactly is this woman? Why did she take Liubao and Dabao away?"
Tan Zhengchu's gaze turned cold, and his voice carried a hint of chill, "No matter who she is, if she dares to touch my son, I will make her pay the price."
After he finished speaking, he put away his phone and turned to walk into the hotel.
The third brother quickly followed, silently praying that Liu Bao and Da Bao would be safe and sound. He knew that once Tan Zhengchu's anger erupted, the entire city of Pengcheng would be shaken.
Tan Zhengchu stood in front of the elevator, his eyes slightly darting around, a thought flashing through his mind.
He quickly took out his phone and dialed his mother, Li Yuzhu's, number.
Li Yuzhu's excited voice came quickly from the other end of the phone, "Zhengchu? Why did you suddenly think of calling Mom? Did you miss me?"
Tan Zhengchu's voice was calm and direct, "Mom, I have a question. Do you... have a twin sister?"
The other end of the phone suddenly fell silent, as if even breathing had stopped for a few seconds.
Li Yuzhu's voice became somewhat low, "Zhengchu, why did you suddenly ask about this?"
Tan Zhengchu didn't beat around the bush and said directly, "Mom, there's a woman who looks a lot like you who took Da Bao and Liu Bao away. I need to know everything about her."
Li Yuzhu's voice trembled instantly, "Yu Mei? Could she still be alive? This...this is impossible! After that fire, I thought she was already..."
Her voice choked with emotion, as if she were lost in painful memories.
Tan Zhengchu could hear soft sobbing coming from the other end of the phone, but he didn't interrupt and just waited quietly.
After a long while, Li Yuzhu finally managed to calm herself down and said in a hoarse voice, "Zhengchu, Yumei is my twin sister. But after that fire, I thought she was dead. For so many years, I have never mentioned her, because every time I think of her, my heart aches as if it were being cut by a knife."
Tan Zhengchu frowned, his fingers unconsciously tapping on the elevator door frame. "Mom, do you know where she might be living now? I have to find her as soon as possible and bring the children back."
Li Yuzhu was silent for a few seconds, then said in a low voice, "I don't know. We lost contact after that fire. I always thought she was dead. If she is still alive and took Da Bao and Liu Bao with her, then she must want to take revenge on me... take revenge on the Tan family."
Tan Zhengchu's eyes turned cold, and his voice carried a hint of chill, "No matter what her purpose is, if she dares to touch my son, I will make her pay the price."
After he finished speaking, he hung up the phone and stepped into the elevator. The elevator doors slowly closed, his expression cold and stern, his eyes flashing with a complex light.
After stepping out of the elevator, Tan Zhengchu went straight into the banquet hall.
The hall was already deserted, with only a few staff members cleaning up the mess. He lit a cigarette, took a deep drag, and his brows furrowed tightly amidst the swirling smoke.
"The two little ones risked their own safety to save me..." Tan Zhengchu murmured softly, his tone carrying a hint of pride, but also a deep sense of worry.
Just then, his phone rang again. Tan Zhengchu glanced at it; it was Li Yuzhu calling. He answered calmly, "Mom, is there anything else?"
Li Yuzhu's voice held a hint of hesitation, "Zhengchu, I've made up my mind. I'll fly back to the Tan family with Xiaofan today. No matter what Yumei wants to do, I can't let her hurt my grandchildren."
Tan Zhengchu was silent for a few seconds, then nodded, "Okay, send me the flight information, and I'll arrange for someone to pick you up."
After hanging up the phone, Tan Zhengchu frowned, his mood even more complicated than before.
He had thought that finding clues would allow him to quickly locate Da Bao and Liu Bao, but unexpectedly, things became even more complicated. Li Yumei's identity surprised him, and her motives were even more difficult for him to fathom.
"How could things have turned out like this..." Tan Zhengchu murmured to himself, his fingers tapping unconsciously on the table, a hint of anxiety in his eyes.
Just then, Lin Quan hurriedly pushed open the door and entered, his face showing obvious worry.
As soon as he entered, he saw Tan Zhengchu standing in the center of the hall, his face as cold as ice, and the air pressure around him was so low that it was hard to breathe.
“Zhengchu,” Lin Quan stepped forward, his tone tinged with apology and anxiety, “I’m here. What happened?”
Tan Zhengchu gave him a cold look, his voice low and deep, "The surveillance footage shows that Liu Bao and Da Bao went into the lounge with you, then changed their clothes and left with a man in black. Lin Quan, I need an explanation."
Lin Quan's face grew even paler. He took a deep breath, trying to calm himself down. "Zhengchu, I did see them, but they lied to me. They said they wanted to see the medicine box and asked some questions about the medication. I didn't think much of it at the time and let them into the lounge. But I really didn't know they would leave with other people."
Tan Zhengchu's gaze was sharp as a knife, as if he could see through Lin Quan's thoughts. He was silent for a few seconds, then said coldly, "Lin Quan, I hope you're not hiding anything. If this matter involves you, I won't show any mercy."
Lin Quan gave a wry smile, his tone tinged with helplessness, "Zhengchu, we've been brothers for years, you should know me. How could I possibly hurt Liubao and Dabao? Right now, I just hope to find them as soon as possible."
Tan Zhengchu raised his head, his gaze as cold as a knife. He stood up abruptly, took a few steps to Lin Quan, grabbed his collar, and said in a low, suppressed voice, "Lin Quan, why did you hide the truth? If you had told me earlier, things wouldn't have gotten to this point!"
Lin Quan was startled by his actions, but quickly recovered, his eyes filled with guilt. He frowned and said in a low voice, "Zhengchu, I'm sorry... I really didn't expect things to turn out like this. I was tricked by those two kids."
