Chapter 118 Photography of the Cathedral
For lunch, they chose a beer house with a traditional German atmosphere.
The room was decorated with wooden tables and chairs and huge beer barrels, and the air was filled with the aroma of malt.
"Pig's feet and beer are a perfect match in Country D, you must try it. Of course, Songchu still can't drink alcohol, so I'll order you a glass of juice instead," Chen Yun recommended with a smile.
Jiang Songchu looked at the pig's trotter in front of her, which was bigger than her face, and hesitated: "This... can we finish it?"
Aman's eyes lit up instantly after taking a bite, and she smiled immediately: "Don't worry, the taste is so good you won't be able to stop eating it."
Chen Yun raised her beer glass: "Come on, let's toast to how we met, and to how we can gather here together."
The three clinked glasses, and Jiang Song took her first bite of the pig's trotter. The skin was crispy, and the meat inside was tender and juicy. Paired with the chilled fruit juice, she couldn't help but nod repeatedly.
After lunch, they headed to the famous Museum Island.
The island is home to five world-renowned museums, a treasure trove of art and history.
"The museums here are well worth a visit, especially the Pergamon Museum, which contains relics from ancient civilizations," Chen Yun said as they walked.
Jiang Songchu was filled with curiosity about the museum. Her eyes darted between the exhibits, and she exclaimed from time to time, "These cultural relics are incredible! They have witnessed so much history!"
As Jiang Songchu strolled around, his face darkened when he saw the artifacts that clearly belonged to Tianrong. He remembered the modern history he had learned in his high school history textbook and instantly understood why the bronze artifacts in front of him had appeared in Country D.
Her eyes flickered as if she were thinking about something, then she smiled slightly, like a cunning little kitten.
Aman, on the other hand, was more interested in historical buildings. She carefully observed the details of each building and occasionally asked Chen Yun about its historical background.
For dinner, they chose a traditional restaurant in Country D with a history of over 100 years.
The restaurant's interior is decorated in a rustic style, with old oil paintings and deer antler decorations hanging on the walls.
"The roast duck here is very famous and it's the highlight of our day," Chen Yun said.
Jiang Songchu and Aman were both looking forward to this dinner.
When the roast duck was served, its golden-brown skin and enticing aroma made both of them swallow hard.
"The skin of this roast duck is so crispy, and the meat is so tender," Jiang Songchu praised as she ate.
Oman enjoyed the accompanying pickled cabbage and potato balls from Germany: "This pickled cabbage is really refreshing and goes perfectly with the roast duck."
After dinner, the three of them went for a walk on the street, and Jiang Songchu was drawn to an exquisite handicraft shop.
She walked into the shop and was dazzled by the wide array of handicrafts.
“These handicrafts are so beautiful.” She picked up a ceramic cup with a traditional D country pattern and examined it carefully.
Chen Yun and Aman also came over, each picking out their favorite items.
In the end, the three of them each bought some handicrafts as souvenirs, and Jiang Songchu also brought some gifts for her family and friends as souvenirs.
The next morning, Jiang Songchu, Chen Yun, and Aman enjoyed breakfast provided by the hotel in the restaurant while discussing the day's filming plans. After breakfast, they packed their bags and prepared to begin filming in K City.
“The people from Discovery magazine will pick us up at nine o’clock, so we have plenty of time to prepare.” Chen Yun glanced at her watch.
Jiang Songchu nodded. She was full of anticipation for today's shoot, but also a little nervous, as this was her first time doing such a shoot abroad.
At 9:00 a.m., they met up with the staff of Discovery magazine in the hotel lobby as agreed.
A van bearing the logo of Discover magazine pulled up in front of the hotel on time, and a young woman in business attire got out and greeted the three of them warmly.
"Good morning, everyone. I'm Emily from Discovery magazine, in charge of today's photoshoot. It's a pleasure to meet you all in a foreign land!"
The three responded with smiles: "Good morning, Emily. We are also delighted to be working with Discover magazine."
After Emily invited the three of them into the car, the driver took them to their destination—K City Cathedral.
She added, "Today, we'll be having a special photoshoot at the K City Cathedral. It includes magazine photos and a promotional video shoot. Let's look forward to it!"
The car weaved through the streets of K City and finally stopped in front of a magnificent church.
When we arrived at the cathedral, the sunlight was shining on the ancient building, giving it a golden glow.
Located in the city center, the cathedral is renowned for its Gothic architecture and exquisite stained-glass windows. It is a historic building whose magnificent exterior and exquisite interior decoration are breathtaking.
Inside the cathedral, the light was soft, and a faint fragrance filled the air; everything seemed so solemn and sacred.
Emily led the three into the church's dressing room, where several sets of period costumes had already been prepared.
She pointed to the ancient costume and an exquisite pipa that had been prepared beforehand: "Miss Jiang, this is a traditional costume specially designed according to your size. I hope you will like it."
"In addition, this is the musical instrument prepared for you. We hope that in the promotional video, you can showcase the beauty of the fusion of Chinese and Western cultures by playing a pipa."
When Jiang Songchu saw the pipa, her eyes sparkled with surprise. She gently stroked the pipa's strings, as if she could feel the cultural heritage it contained.
He then walked up to the ancient costume and examined it carefully.
This is a long dress with blue as the main color, embroidered with exquisite gold patterns, showcasing Tianrong's traditional craftsmanship. It is indeed a very gorgeous ancient costume.
She nodded in satisfaction: "It's very beautiful, I like it very much."
With the help of the staff, Jiang Songchu changed into ancient costume, and the makeup and styling were completed quickly.
“Wow, Songchu, you look like a princess who stepped out of a painting,” Aman exclaimed.
Chen Yun nodded in approval: "It really suits you. Your temperament blends perfectly with this outfit."
She stood before the cathedral, dressed in magnificent attire, as if she had traveled through time and become an ancient noblewoman.
Filming began. Jiang Songchu stood in front of the stained glass window of the church. Sunlight shone through the glass and fell on her, creating colorful light and shadow.
The photographer adjusted the angle, capturing every beautiful moment.
"Look this way and smile."
The photographer guided Jiang Songchu to pose in various ways, from the front, side, to her back, striving for perfection from every angle.
Jiang Songchu followed the instructions very well, showing a natural smile. She not only displayed her beautiful temperament and conveyed the charm of Tianrong's traditional culture through her eyes and movements, but also revealed her curiosity about foreign cultures.
