Chapter 282 The Golden Fist, Purifying Heresy
Chapter 282 The Golden Fist, Purifying Heresy
The appearance of "Hulk" rekindled a glimmer of hope in the eyes of General Miller and Dr. Erskine, who were in despair.
"Quick! Doctor! Control him! Make him kill those two monsters!" General Miller shouted at Dr. Erskine, who was slumped on the ground, as if grasping at a last straw.
"Yes! Yes! General!" Dr. Ers King scrambled to the control panel and frantically typed on the keyboard, forcibly injecting nerve-stimulating commands into Hulk's brain.
"Attack command entered! Target locked! Adrenaline injection, 2000%!"
"roar!"
Upon receiving the command, Hulk let out another deafening roar. His muscles visibly swelled once more, and the blood vessels beneath his skin bulged out like writhing earthworms.
He stomped hard on the ground, leaving two deep footprints in the hard alloy floor.
The next second, his enormous body transformed into a green cannonball, charging headlong towards Ares and Aiolia's location!
The walls, passageways, and various sophisticated instruments and equipment along the way were all easily torn apart and sent flying like pieces of paper in the face of his terrifying impact!
"Oh? Finally, a decent toy has arrived?"
Ares stopped and looked at the huge green creature charging straight towards him, a hint of interest on his face.
He could sense that within this green monster lay a pure and violent physical force.
Although, in his view, it was still pitifully weak.
But at least, it's more durable than those easily broken "grunts" from before.
"This one is mine!"
Ares grinned at Aiolia, then instead of retreating, he stepped forward and took the initiative to meet him.
He didn't even use his war spear.
Instead, he clenched his fist.
He wanted to use the purest power to tell these self-righteous mortals what true divine power is!
"boom!"
The dark red divine fist collided fiercely with that green, mountain-like body!
A visible, circular shockwave spread out from the two of them!
The entire underground structure of the base groaned under the strain of this attack.
Countless cracks, like a spider web, spread across the walls and ceiling.
For the first time, Hulk's unstoppable, terrifying charge was blocked head-on!
His fist, which was bigger than a sandbag, was firmly held back by a dark red fist that didn't look that big.
No matter how much he roared or exerted his strength, he couldn't move forward even an inch!
"Is that all the strength you've got?" Ares looked at the hideous green monster before him, and scoffed, "Not even enough to tickle me!"
Before he could finish speaking...
The muscles in his arms suddenly tensed up!
"Snap!"
A crisp sound, like bones shattering, rang out.
Hulk's thick arm, strong enough to pierce through tank armor, was actually broken in half by Ares with a single punch!
The stark white bone fragments pierced the green skin, exposed to the air.
"Roar... Awooo!"
The intense pain caused Hulk to let out a heart-wrenching scream.
For the first time in his chaotic consciousness, he felt an emotion called "fear".
The red, short creature in front of him was not someone he could contend with at all!
However, Ares clearly had no intention of letting him off so easily.
"The master said that you are failed experiments."
"Yes, it's an insult to the word 'evolution'."
"Then let me completely recycle you trash!"
Ares grinned maliciously, and with his other hand, he darted out and grabbed Hulk's head.
Then, suddenly, press down!
"boom!"
He forcefully pressed Hulk's massive body to the ground.
His head made its most intimate contact with the hard alloy floor.
The entire ground sank down, forming a huge, human-shaped crater.
Hulk couldn't even struggle before he passed out.
Inside the central laboratory, General Miller and Dr. Erskine witnessed this scene through the monitoring screen, which was now filled with static.
The two felt as if they had fallen into an ice cave, their bodies turning ice-cold.
Their strongest trump card, the "perfect war machine" on which they had placed their hopes, couldn't even last a single round against that red demon!
This is no longer a battle.
This is a one-sided, crushing defeat!
Yes, the gods are most ruthless towards mortals, they play tricks on them!
"It's over...it's all over..." Dr. Erskine murmured to himself, utterly dejected.
His life's work, all his pride, were utterly shattered at this moment.
"No! Not yet!" Suddenly, a gambler's madness erupted in General Miller's eyes!
"We haven't lost yet!"
He lunged towards the other side of the control panel, where there was a final button, protected by a red cover.
That's the self-destruct program for the entire Area 51!
"If we can't have it, then they can't have it either!"
"I will make these two devils, and the entire base, perish with them!"
General Miller ripped off the red cover and, with all his might, slammed it down!
"General! No!" Dr. Erskine screamed in despair.
However, it was already too late.
"drop--"
A soft sound.
At that moment, all the alarms in the entire base fell silent.
Instead, a cold, emotionless, mechanical synthesized voice echoed in every corner of the base.
"Base self-destruct program has been initiated."
"The core reactor will overload and explode in sixty seconds."
"The explosive yield is equivalent to 500,000 tons of TNT."
"Repeat, base self-destruct procedure initiated..."
"59..."
"58..."
The countdown to death has begun.
"Hahaha...hahahaha!" General Miller leaned against the control panel, letting out a maniacal laugh. "Come on! You think you're gods? I'll see if you can survive the epicenter of a nuclear explosion!"
Upon hearing this voice, Ares, who had just dealt with "Hulk," raised an eyebrow.
"A nuclear explosion? These mortals really dare to play around with that."
His face showed no fear whatsoever; instead, it carried a hint of eager excitement.
He hasn't tried what it feels like to withstand a nuclear bomb.
"Don't waste your time, Ares."
Aiolia's figure had appeared at the entrance of the Central Laboratory without anyone noticing.
He glanced at General Miller, who was laughing maniacally, and then at Dr. Erskine, who was completely stunned. His eyes were icy.
"The master's order is to erase all the 'research data'."
As he spoke, he slowly walked toward the supercomputer in the center of the laboratory, the one that stored all the core data.
"57..."
"56..."
The countdown continues.
Aiolia, however, seemed not to hear at all.
He reached out and gently placed his hand on the mainframe of the supercomputer.
Countless streams of data flashed rapidly in the golden eyes.
"Buzz..."
With its powerful mental energy, it instantly invaded the computer's core database.
All the research data, experimental videos, gene sequences, and everything else related to the "Super Soldier" program were being copied, packaged, and stored in his mental space at an unimaginable speed.
"The data has been obtained."
In less than three seconds, Aiolia had completed it all.
"52..."
"51..."
"Now, we can send them on their way." Aiolia turned around, looked at Ares, and said calmly.
"Alright!" Ares exclaimed excitedly, licking his lips.
He was preparing to give this base a good, hard blow.
However, Aiolia stopped him.
"etc."
"The master said that we need to 'purify' it."
Aiolia's gaze swept across the entire base, finally settling on the core reactor, which was counting down.
"Use the weapons of mortals themselves to purify themselves."
"This, perhaps, is the 'purification' that you, sir, desire."
As he spoke, he slowly raised his right hand.
The golden holy robes flowed with divine radiance on his arms.
His fist slowly clenched.
A terrifying energy, powerful enough to make the very space tremble, began to gather in his fist.
"Atomic Lightning Speed Fist!"
General Miller's laughter abruptly stopped.
He stared blankly at the golden figure and the golden orb in his hand, which was even more dazzling than the sun.
He felt his own soul trembling and wailing before that power.
He finally realized how ignorant and ridiculous he was.
Before the true God.
The so-called nuclear explosion was nothing more than a slightly larger firework.
Aiolia, with a slow, deliberate punch.
No sound.
There was no explosion.
Only one, pure, golden light.
The light devoured everything.
It devoured General Miller, it devoured Dr. Erskine, it devoured the entire laboratory, it devoured the nuclear reactor that was counting down...
It devoured the entire Area 51.
From the very beginning, everything was completely and utterly shattered into the most basic atoms.
