Chapter 8: Three Reminders, The Lich Conflict
Chapter 8: Three Reminders, The Lich Conflict
After the conflict between the Dao and the Demon, the prehistoric world remained silent for countless eons. Now, with another batch of innate beings taking human form, the prehistoric world has become lively once again.
Wuchen transformed into an old Taoist with white hair and a youthful face, walking through the primordial world, where he would occasionally see some innate beings.
However, innate deities are ultimately a minority; the majority are ordinary innate beings.
The most obvious difference between them and the innate saints lies in their cultivation level; most of them are at the Golden Immortal or Taiyi Golden Immortal level.
I have never seen anyone below the Golden Immortal level.
During this period, there was no space for beings below the Golden Immortal level to survive.
A slight misstep could lead to death and the annihilation of one's soul.
Even if they were to take human form, they probably wouldn't dare to wander around aimlessly.
At most, I'll just wander around the area near the dojo.
"Fellow Daoist, please wait."
Just as Wuchen was about to tear through space, a familiar line suddenly came from behind him.
I turned around and looked back.
Then they saw an old man, a middle-aged man, and a young man, a group of three, coming through the air.
All three were at the early stage of the Great Luo Golden Immortal realm.
Without asking, Wuchen could guess the origins and identities of the three people.
In the primordial world, the only three people traveling together, all of whom were innate deities, could probably be the Three Pure Ones, who came from Kunlun Mountain and were known as the true descendants of Pangu.
"Taiqing Laozi!"
"Yuqing Yuanshi!"
"Shangqing Tongtian!"
"Greetings, fellow Daoist!"
The three approached and bowed in unison, each with a different expression.
Lao Tzu's expression was calm and serene, like a still well.
Yuan Shi appeared easygoing, but a faint arrogance was subtly revealed between his brows.
Tongtian's eyes burned with fervor, eager to try.
"Danyangzi greets the three fellow Daoists."
Wuchen returned the greeting, showing no arrogance despite his cultivation level and the time elapsed since his transformation.
At the same time, he couldn't help but think to himself.
Lao Tzu established a teaching on humanity and became a sage; by any measure, he should be considered a saint of humanity.
Perhaps Nuwa should have done the same.
The founder of the Yuanshi school of Taoism was to expound the Way of Heaven and follow the Mandate of Heaven.
Their fate is determined by the will of Heaven, so there's nothing wrong with that.
The establishment of the Tongtian Jie Sect, meaning to seize a glimmer of hope for all living beings, is an act against the will of Heaven. No matter how you look at it, it shouldn't be the work of a Heavenly Saint.
And since they are bound together in life and death, their fate may lie in the underworld.
Hongjun absorbed Nuwa, Laozi, and Tongtian into the Heavenly Dao, perhaps to suppress the Earthly Dao and the Human Dao, making it easier for him to carry out his own plans.
"Fellow Daoist Danyangzi, our meeting is fate. How about we have a discussion on the Dao?"
Lao Tzu began to speak.
Wuchen shook his head and said, "I have important matters to attend to and cannot linger here. However, as you said, meeting is fate, so I will bestow upon you a great fortune."
Having said that, he flicked his finger, and two beams of light shot towards Laozi and Tongtian respectively.
The two tried to resist, but they were powerless to stop it.
In an instant, the two beams of light entered between their brows.
The two men were greatly alarmed.
Only at this moment did they realize that the other party's cultivation level was far above theirs.
The title "fellow Daoist" is truly presumptuous.
To even discuss the Dao is offensive.
Only when people are at the same level can they discuss the Dao; when someone of a higher level talks to someone of a lower level, it should be called preaching the Dao.
"Your path is up to you, not bound by fate; you must patiently await the opportune moment."
"Your way is on earth, not bound by heaven; you must wait patiently for the right time."
The hint, differing by only one word, entered Laozi and Tongtian's minds, causing their true spirits to tremble and giving them an inexplicable sense of enlightenment.
The soul trembled, indicating that what the other party said was true.
Laozi and Tongtian exchanged a glance, then bowed to Wuchen in unison:
"Thank you for your guidance, senior!"
Yuan Shi frowned deeply.
The eldest brother and the third brother both received guidance from the other party and seemed to have gained a lot.
Why is it that he didn't have it?
"It's alright, farewell!"
Wuchen waved his hand, then tore through space and left.
"Eldest brother, third brother, what did he give you?"
Yuanshi glanced at the two of them, trying to figure out why he was the only one who had been left out.
Lao Tzu shook his head: "It cannot be spoken, it cannot be spoken."
He and Tongtian both possessed it, but Yuanshi alone did not. Doesn't this explain the problem?
One must not be bound by Heaven.
If Lao Tzu's prediction is correct, the beginning of the universe might have been that day.
The term "connecting to heaven" should refer to the earth.
Heaven, Earth, and Man are aligned with the Three Pure Ones.
He just couldn't figure out why he was bound by fate.
Could it be because of the Primordial Beginning?
Upon hearing this, Yuanshi's expression gradually darkened, and he glanced sideways at Tongtian.
The latter also shook his head.
Tongtian didn't think too much about it, but he knew that the other party wouldn't have missed his second brother for no reason.
Moreover, the other party's guidance involves the opportunity to attain enlightenment, so it cannot be easily revealed to others.
Even if they are brothers.
"Tongtian, do you even see me as your elder brother anymore?"
Yuanshi was immediately enraged.
It's one thing for the eldest brother, but now even Tongtian dares to defy him.
A hint of bewilderment appeared on Tongtian's face.
My elder brother didn't tell me, so how come he's now accused of disrespecting his elder brother?
"Second brother!"
Lao Tzu chimed in, "Everyone's destiny is predetermined. Since Third Brother is unwilling to disclose what he has gained, there must be a reason why he cannot reveal it. Why force him?"
Yuanshi glared angrily: "Elder brother, can't you see it either? He is clearly trying to sow discord among the Three Pure Ones!"
Lao Tzu said calmly, "I have indeed gained something; how can there be any talk of division?"
Tongtian echoed, "I have also gained a great deal."
"you……"
Yuanshi was furious, but when he tried to speak, he didn't know where to begin.
"Alright, let's just leave it at that."
Lao Tzu did not wish to get too entangled with Yuan Shi on this matter.
"Danyangzi, what a fine Danyangzi."
Yuanshi clenched his fists, his face grim, making no attempt to conceal the murderous intent in his eyes.
Tongtian shook his head and said, "Second brother, you are no match for the senior. It would be better not to make a mistake and ruin the karmic connection between us and the senior."
"Tongtian, how dare you!"
Yuan Shi let out a fierce shout, his face flushed red, his anger reaching its peak.
Tongtian's lips twitched, but he ultimately held back.
Wuchen was unaware that his actions had prematurely ignited the conflict between the three brothers. At this moment, he had already crossed space and arrived at the foot of Buzhou Mountain.
As the first sacred mountain in the primordial world, Buzhou Mountain attracts everyone seeking opportunities, resulting in an exceptionally large number of creatures residing there.
Where there are people, there is conflict, especially over the seizure of opportunities.
Bloodshed was commonplace in the mountains, with corpses strewn everywhere.
One of the most arrogant clans seemed to intend to dominate Mount Buzhou.
They kill anyone they see.
They had no primordial spirit, and their bodies were filled with a murderous aura; one could tell their origins without even asking.
They are the Wu tribe, formed from the essence and blood of Pangu.
Although the Wu tribe did not possess a primordial spirit, each member possessed a powerful physique and was empowered by innate laws, causing those creatures that fought individually to be utterly routed.
Perhaps the Demon Court was established under duress from the Witch Clan.
The Wu tribe has no primordial spirit and cannot use spiritual treasures, yet they want to monopolize Mount Buzhou. How can other living beings tolerate such domineering behavior?
"furious!"
A thunderous shout echoed through the mountains, making the heads of those with weak cultivation buzz.
"Clang!"
A long, resonant bell chime, imbued with the rhythms of time and space, suddenly rang out. Wherever the chime spread, those of weaker cultivation among the Wu clan were instantly reduced to a bloody mist.
"Taiyi, you're asking for it!"
With a fierce shout, twelve enormous witch clan members rushed out from all directions, carrying overwhelming murderous aura, and attacked the person holding the bell.
The twelve people were the twelve ancestral witches of the witch clan.
"Help Taiyi, and destroy the Witch Clan!"
Someone shouted, and countless creatures that were fighting independently immediately converged on Di Jun and Tai Yi.
