Chapter 177 People?
Chapter 177 People?
Lin Hun sat on the corner of the operating table behind him, with his arms folded across his chest, looking at the woman in front of him with interest:
"Don't get excited, Adeline."
"I know what you want, but are you really ready?"
By keeping a distance, a buffer zone appeared between the two of them, giving Adeline time to calm her mind.
Until Adeline returned to her former dignified posture, but her head kept moving and her voice was still urgent:
"Ready? Ready for what? Oh! Of course, of course I'm ready!"
"You're not ready," Lin Hun interrupted the woman rudely and shouted, "Maybe I didn't make it clear before. I want to ask you - are you really ready to completely get rid of your human body?"
The sudden scolding finally freed the woman from her desire.
"Adeline - Adeline -" Lin Hun straightened his waist, stood up from the operating table, and paced back and forth around Adeline.
"You don't need me to remind you. You should already know what you have become."
"Perhaps it's because the transformation process was not complete enough, or perhaps it's because of the special blood in your body, that you are still rational in your current state, but have you really decided to move on?"
"Do you want to listen to the noise outside? Those are guys like you, only they are even crazier and have completely lost their human sanity."
"If you want to keep going, no one can tell what your final outcome will be."
"Even so, do you still want to continue to move forward on your own?"
"Pah. Pah. Pah." Lin Hun's footsteps were not heavy, but they easily crushed all the noisy sounds outside the house. His presence in the house was so strong that it echoed for a long time.
Adeline once again felt a voice ringing in her head, but this time it was different from the previous darkness and silence. Strong and prominent were the characteristics of this voice.
A long-lost drop of cold sweat appeared on Adeline's forehead. She felt that the ferocious Sphinx was constantly wandering around her body just to get the final answer.
This was a little trick of Lin Hun's, constantly putting pressure on Adeline in the middle through the sound of footsteps.
Seeing Adeline's anxious look, Lin Hun felt that the effect was just right.
Under tremendous pressure, Adeline was speechless, her body trembled, and she couldn't utter a complete sentence.
Although she had lost her nose a long time ago, she felt that breathing was so difficult at the moment. Her heavy chest rose up with difficulty and fell down quickly, as if something outside was constantly squeezing her body.
Lin Hun watched as Adeline's head began to move more slowly, without a trace of pity in his heart. Seeing her silence, Lin Hun felt that the time was about right, and a voice suddenly burst out from his throat and exploded in Adeline's ears:
"Adeline! Do you really intend to be completely drenched in the blood stuff!?"
When the pressure reached a certain level, it did not drive Adeline crazy but instead aroused the sadness and anger in her heart, screaming that she refuted Lin Hun's argument "This is all I have left!!!"
After retorting, Adeline began to breathe hard, but even though her head was buzzing, she still insisted on expressing her feelings:
"I am just an ordinary blood sage. No one cares if I lose everything."
"I have lived a life of mediocrity. When I was at Cainhurst, I was just an ordinary member. My blood was a little sweet, but that was all."
"Then I came to the church, but they just wanted to take my blood for experiments."
"No one has given me any guidance from the beginning till now."
"Until that moment!" Adeline raised her voice several notes. "When I was trapped in this chair and injected with strange blood, I finally felt the revelation and guidance."
"But unfortunately, as time passed, that wonderful guidance eventually faded."
"But the guidance has only weakened, not disappeared. I can still feel the guidance in my brain." Adeline approached Lin Hun again without any fear. "I believe that with your help, my evolution speed will advance by leaps and bounds. By then, I will be able to successfully and completely feel the guidance!"
Fearing that Lin Hun would refuse, Adeline simply described what she needed:
"The cold, sticky liquid is what is stored in the brains of patients like me. The so-called brain contains mysterious power."
"Of course, not just anyone's brain fluid will do. I have to keep at least a little bit of brain fluid from sane patients. Only their brain fluid is of high enough quality to accumulate into a large amount to help me move forward.
Lin Hun knew that he could not persuade Adeline to give up the idea of moving forward. After all, he was only strong and not a master of talking. It was impossible to persuade Adeline with just a few words. So he shook his head, turned and walked towards the door, and said:
"I'm sorry, I can't help you with this."
"Your life form has already reached the boundary between humans and superior beings, so if you want to move on, I will not stop you, but of course I will not help you move on either."
"Just take care of yourself."
"Think carefully about who you really are."
Knowing that Lin Hun was leaving, Adeline was not willing to let this hunter, whom she had finally met, leave. She stood up and dragged her chair after Lin Hun, saying anxiously:
"Don't you hunters all love blood? I used to be the Blood Sage of the church, how about I give you my blood as payment!?"
"As long as you can find a pool of brain fluid, no matter how much blood you want, you can get it all from my body."
Lin Hun paused at the door. Adeline did not dare to press on any further. She just stood there, breathing heavily from her head. No matter whether she was the Blood Sage in the past or in her current state, she had never been a woman with good physical strength. Carrying the chair for this distance was enough to cost her half her life.
So Adeline could only ask a hunter who was good at hunting and had a strong physique and superb skills to help her find other people's brain fluid.
"Look at your appearance, Adeline. You have already lost your human persistence. You'd better stay in the nightmare."
Lin Hun finally felt pity and stretched out his finger and pointed it at Adeline's head.
