He pointed an accusatory finger at Lo Jik, growling, “You pushed Tian Ti Mountain in such a pathetic state! You caused several hundreds of inheritances to be destroyed! No matter your status, Spirit Affinity House must answer for this crime! It is an unforgivable sin!”

Lo Jik blinked innocuously.

“Tian Ti Mountain? You are mistaken, friend. Look around you. We are… er… what’s the name of this battlefield killer move?” He chuckled in a friendly manner as the mysterious gu immortal snorted coldly.

“Stop stalling or you won’t get the rest of the promised rewards. I want that gu immortal dead. He is clearly a newbie and doesn’t have any foundation. Deal with him. Especially you, Bi Sun. Stop holding back.” He directly communicated with the three gu immortals as their expressions changed.

“Aw… I was so sure he would tell me about this battlefield killer move.” Lo Jik chuckled. “Does the hair make me less charming?” He cupped his chin and directed an inquisitive look towards Black Moon, leaving her momentarily speechless. “What do you think, dear wife? Did I look better as a bald man?”

“You arrogant piece of shit!” Jian Yi Sheng cursed as Lo Jik suddenly pinned him with a cold smile.

“Arrogant?” He laughed. “Why wouldn’t I be arrogant? Fools! I know everything about you. I know why you are here!”

Their expressions changed slightly as Lo Jik turned to the mysterious gu immortal. “I know,” she said and confidently.

‘Could it be…’

‘No… was this all an act? Just to lure us? If so… would he truly waste that golden opportunity for us?’

‘It’s impossible, right?’

Lo Jik planted seeds of doubt in the hearts of the three demon gu immortals. They couldn’t help but pause and wait for their mysterious employer to address the newbie gu immortal—to deny his claims with cold certainty.

Having once experienced their ascension, everyone inside the blessed land was intimately aware of the joys of heavenly inspiration. But what if Lo Jik’s earlier unconsciousness had been a mere act? What if he asked heaven and earth not about the mystery of the great dao but about them—about their plans? Nothing could be hidden from heaven and earth. What if Lo Jik used this chance to capture them?

Unfortunately, they only heard their employer command coldly.

“Attack.”

The battle continued instantly. The three fairies struck instantly as the three demons’ thoughts shifted. Lo Jik remained in the center, enjoying their protection with a curious expression.

Behind him unfolded a pair of wings as he regained altitude instead of being in a close contact with the battlefield killer move.

Bi Sun let out a myriad army of bull and cow beasts. His actions instantly pressured Fairy Mi Yao. Meanwhile, Jian Yi Sheng had most his attacks defended by Bai Qing. The pair did not go all out due to the former’s cautious nature.

Jun Ki kept getting suppressed by Black Moon.

‘Oh?’ Lo Jik blinked. Black Moon created gigantic strength path phantoms resembling herself. It was clearly a mortal killer move but its power was nothing to scoff at. ‘Its output is just a touch beneath my Self Dharma Killer Move.’ He observed.

“I suppose that leaves us.” Lo Jik’s words shocked everyone as he straightened his sleeves and faced the mysterious gu immortal.

“What are you saying?” Fairy Mi Yao chastised instantly. “You are but a fledgling, disciple Lo Jik. You cannot enter this battle. The opponent ambushed us with this mysterious battlefield killer move. You are inexperienced and might not know this, but this is no ordinary killer move. It was an immortal battlefield killer move! Do not act hastily.”

Lo Jik turned a deaf ear to Mi Yao’s sound criticism, his smile broadening with every moment of locked gaze.

“I told you, sir—”

The mysterious gu immortal remained silent.

Lo Jik’s lips eventually thinned in disappointment as he shook his head. He communicated with the three fairies, apologizing profusely. “I’m sorry for worrying and burdening the three of you, fairies. I tried scamming this fellow but he’s seen through me. I will rely on the three of you.”

Observing his expression and realizing it had all been an act to fluster them, the other three demons attacked with a greater ferocity.

‘Bull Maze!’

‘Mountain Slash!’

‘Poisoned Cleave!’

Bi Sun activated his enslavement path killer move, surprising Fairy Mi Yao. Hundreds of thousands of bull beasts, beast kings, and beast emperors surrounded Mi Yao. Many beasts stomped on the ground and formed a moving maze. The influence of this killer move led many flying bulls to surround Mi Yao, forcing her towards the ground where she would eventually be stomped to death. On the outside, attacking using long-range methods, were the two bull desolate beasts.

Different than the rest was the rank 6 Wine Drinker Immortal Gu Worm. He kept drinking wine and closed his eyes briefly before slurring out some words. The refiner and hairy man clones nearby would hear these words and instantly feel excited as they would refine gu worms with a greater efficiency.

“Ah!” One of the Refiner Gu let out an ear-piercing scream before exploding into bits due to a backlash in the refinement process.

“The fuck was he screaming for like a little bitch?” A nearby hairy man clone scowled. “It takes a man to endure the backlash without whining at all!”

He, too, exploded the next second.

“Replace those refiner clone 67 and hairy man clone 69. We have a lot to do, gu worms!” A rockman clone observing everything spoke warmly.

“And who made you the leader?” One of the clones snorted.

“The main body,” replied the rockman with a shrug.

“I call hacks!”

“We refined the appropriate amount of Muscle Wings and Accumulation Gu. Start refining other gu worms for that killer move while the main body stalls. Hey, wine drinker!” A refiner gu worm shouted at Wine Drinker Immortal Clone. “Schemer clones want you to help them with the deduction of the killer move. They are good at scheming but suck at deducing recipes. Sigh, we need to refine clones with refinement and wisdom path effects, maybe that’ll be good at—eh, add formation path to the list, too. Yeah, such a clone would be a beast in deducing recipes and killer moves!”

Since they all shared their attainment with Lo Jik, the clone’s sudden inspiration was not a ridiculous dream but a certain possibility. Unfortunately, they did not have time for that. Lo Jik needed several gu worms.

One of the schemer clones walked out impassively and helped the immortal clone up.

“Tell me, Wine Drinker, what gu worm should I use in this step for the main body’s immortal killer move.” Saying so, the schemer clone also sent a will into the immortal clone as the latter hiccuped and took another swig of the wine in his gourd. He mumbled unintelligible words and groaned tiredly. Soon after, his eyes brightened and the haze of drunken stupor vanished briefly. He spoke in a clear voice, advising the schemer clone before promptly falling dead drunk again.

Satisfied by the answer, the schemer clone returned to Pool of Wisdom as another one came out. The same event took place again and again.

It was a food path gu worm with refinement path and wisdom path effects. It was one of the recipes Lo Jik obtained from Wine Drinker Immortal Gu after it was refined as a rank 6 immortal gu worm. Unlike his expectations, his immortal level clones did not grant him recipes for immortal gu worms. Instead, they expanded upon more mortal recipes. Drunken Inspiration was one of the many benefits he derived from advancing Wine Drinker from rank 5 to rank 6. With their shared attainment, this gu worm turned Wine Drinker Immortal Clone into a powerhouse to obtain crucial clues whenever the schemer, refiner, and hairy man clones entered any bottlenecks when refining and deducing gu worms/recipes. Unfortunately, Drunken Inspiration only worked if the user was drunk…

“Where are the girls, damn it?! Let’s have an orgy already!” Wine Drinker roared suddenly, slapping the nearby schemer clone away.

“Damn, he’s drunk horny… we have to do something about this bad habit of ours,” the injured schemer clone complained with a scowl.

Because they were his clone, the extension of his will and desires, Lo Jik trusted the clones to propagate ever since he formed his human path blessed land. He left them Pool of Wisdom and Sea of Wealth to assist in refining more clones. All this time, the clones never stopped working, not when Lo Jik could supply them with endless primeval essence now that he was a gu immortal.

Unfortunately, luck was not on their side. Black Moon’s expression changed and she turned pale. Blood seeped from the corner of her mask as she coughed violently. Trails of blood leaked from the corner of her eyes and ears.

A backlash!

Jun Ki instantly felt overjoyed and attacked maniacally! He was a true demonic gu immortal as blood rushed to his head. He hacked at Black Moon’s strength path phantoms while also letting out a poisonous fog.

‘Oh, no!’

Black Moon was instantly suppressed. She couldn’t help but falter and retreat to heal. Seeing this, the other two demons instantly went all out to temporarily contain Bai Qing and Mi Yao. It was impossible for the demons to contain those two, but they could provide Jun Ki with an opportunity to turn the situation around.

The three fairies surrounded Lo Jik. Now that she was suppressed and forced back, Black Moon moved backwards in Lo Jik’s direction. Gritting her teeth, she changed her trajectory and moved closer to Bai Qing.

“Assist me, Sister Bai!” She dropped all pretenses and begged for support. “I need a few minutes to heal.”

Bai Qing’s hesitation only lasted for a fraction of a second before she nodded resolutely. Though they were part of different factions, the gu immortals were astute enough to keep outsiders from getting advantage through their internal competition.

“You are too arrogant, Fairy Bai!” Jian Yi Sheng laughed cruelly as he attacked with greater ferocity.

The mysterious gu immortal watched everything indifferently and coldly.

It wasn’t until Jun Ki got too close to Jian Yi Sheng that his expression shifted ever so slightly.

“Be careful—” His warning came a second too late as Jian Yi Sheng let out a proud cry and struck Jun Ki!

The betrayal was sudden and the effect was shocking!

Jian Yi Sheng cut Jun Ki’s head with a sword and instantly swallowed his corpse into his blessed land.

“What?” Bi Sun was alarmed greatly as he faltered.

“Hehe!” Jian Yi Sheng licked his lips and turned to look at Black Moon. He couldn’t help but grin. “You have my gratitude—”

Black Moon moved out of the way, letting Lo Jik meet Jian Yi Sheng’s lecherous gaze.
